Information Processing for Cyber‐physical Systems ‐ A Complex Systems Science Approach
ID: Tut-01
Description
Self-developing industrial cyber-physical systems aims to maintain and protect equipment, assets and infrastructures of marine industry through the convergence of operational and information technologies by seamless integration of physical components with modern computation, control and automation algorithms. This tutorial will serve as the first-ever knowledge-transfer tool for mitigating the risks of the cyber-enabled dynamics that are impacting several domains of marine industries and infrastructures. This tutorial will particularly focus application of the concept of Agent-based Modelling (ABM) (a concept borrowed from complex systems science) for characterizing the dynamics of industrial CPSs, and enabling information processing and decision-making.
