Demonstration and PlugFest Program
Description
“A plugtest or plugfest is an event based on a certain technical standard where the designers of electronic equipment or software test the interoperability of their products or designs with those of other manufacturers. It could be literally plugging company A's cable into company B's socket, or a more elaborate test resembling a realistic scenario.”
In our scope, we intend to experiment the deployment of Network Applications across ICT-41 Projects. E.g. Project A Network Application being deployed on Project B testbed.
The ICT-41 PlugFest is a satellite event of the IEEE-WFIoT (12-27 October 2023), and will take place on the 23rd and 24th of October 2023 in Aveiro, Portugal. The event will take place in the Campus of the University of Aveiro and in Altice Labs (both short distance away from each other and from the conference)
Logistics
The objective of the Plugfest is to gather developers from all ICT-41 projects in a single location where hands-on integration can take place. 5GASP and 5G-EPICENTRE will provide access to their local testbeds, but remote access to other testbeds should also be made available (projects need to provide the means for that remote access). The plugfest site will be made available in advance (on the 20th and 21th for developers to do any pre-plugfest integration/setup)
Registration
Registration shall be handled through the WFIoT 2023 conference website.
Projects should also inform local organization of the workshop (dgomes@av.it.pt) about:
- Name of the demonstration/integration
- Projects involved
- Responsible person contacts (email + phone)
- List of participants
- Site Requirements
- Date of arrival
If you have any questions, please contact 5GASP coordinator: Diogo Gomes dgomes@av.it.pt
